You can say goodbye to Legal Egg as the series takes its final bow on March 9. The final volume is set to ship on April 23.
Conceptualized by Homura Kawamoto and Yasoko Momen, the manga follows the life of a legal apprentice with a salary of 135,000 yen – or for those in the States like this humble writer, $1,230 – a month.
Legal Egg isn’t the first Kawamoto’s first success, though. 2014’s Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler is another example of his success as it sees an English release by Yen Press and an anime adaptation back in 2017 exclusive to Japan.
It wasn’t until 2018 when Netflix picked it up and began streaming it did US audiences get to check it out without treading the high seas, so to speak. A second season was also made and released in 2019 and live-action adaptations were also a part of its Kakegurui‘s life.
